About Cadaster Saba

Mr. M. Bouwer started to register On June 2nd, 1876 the properties on the island of Saba. Cadaster Saba consists of two sections:

  • The Land Registry Office
  • The Mortgage Office
Beginning in 2000, the central government (N.A.) started decentralization of the Land Registry Saba to the island territory of Bonaire. At present the decentralization between the governments Executive Council of the island territory 11 conditions set for the acquisition of the Land Registry Saba. At a meeting of the Council of Ministers in 2008, the Council of Ministers decided the Minister of Economics and Labour & Social Affairs to be designated as a trigger for the decentralization of the Cadastre Saba. The Minister had the task to the aid of Head of Service Cadastral and mortgage Being Saba and by the Minister yet to appoint experts, to continue for the decentralization process set and the Minister of Finance, the Council of Ministers and the advise Executive Council of the island territory of Bonaire to Final decentralization Cadaster Saba.
